ALPs National Free Medical Outreach in the South-East Ends on a Successful Note in Enugu

The Association of Lady Pharmacists (ALPs) has successfully concluded its National Free Medical Outreach in the South-East, held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Obeagu Community Health Centre, Enugu State.

The outreach brought together a dedicated team of healthcare professionals who provided free medical services and health screenings to members of the host community, reaffirming the Association’s commitment to improving access to healthcare and promoting community wellbeing.

A Wide Range of Free Medical Services

The outreach featured several healthcare service points, ensuring that beneficiaries had access to essential medical attention. These included:

  • Blood pressure (BP) checks and blood sugar screening.
  • HIV screening and point-of-care testing.
  • Pharmacy services and medication support.
  • Paediatric consultation and care.
  • Orthopaedic services.
  • General medical consultations and other health assessments.

A special highlight of the programme was the paediatric section, alongside the participation of orthopaedic and paediatric consultants, including Dr. Ugochukwu and Dr. Mrs. Obianuju Uchendu, whose contributions further strengthened the quality of care delivered during the outreach.

Community Support and Collaboration

The programme also received the support and recognition of the Enugu South Councillor, Hon. Tony Egbo, who visited to appreciate the National Association of Lady Pharmacists for bringing the free medical outreach to the community.

The success of the initiative was made possible through the dedication, professionalism and tireless efforts of the healthcare team, whose commitment ensured the smooth delivery of services throughout the programme.

A Commendation to the Leadership and Team

The Association extends its appreciation to the National Chairman of ALPs, the Vice Chairman, South-East Zone, and the entire organising team for their leadership, coordination and commitment to making the outreach a success.

The successful completion of this initiative reflects the importance of professional collaboration and community-focused healthcare interventions.

As the Association continues to champion better health outcomes, the South-East outreach stands as another meaningful demonstration of its commitment to taking healthcare closer to the people.

Indeed, it was a successful outing. Congratulations to all ALPs members and the entire team!
