ALPs VISIT HER ROYAL MAJESTY PROF. FELICIA HEMBADOON AYATSETHE WIFE OF THE TOR TIV, BY THE ASSOCIATION OF LADY PHARMACISTS ON MONDAY 23RD MARCH 2026

The Association of Lady Pharmacists (ALPs) is a strategic interest group of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), whose membership cuts across the different practice areas of Pharmacy such as Academics, Industry, Regulation, Hospital, Community, Administration and Public Health. The Association serves as an umbrella group for all Lady Pharmacists in Nigeria.

We utilize the competences and potentials of Lady Pharmacists and synergize with partners for improvements in Health, Education, Professionalism, Value Chain Addition and Development, Environmental sustainability and socio-economic wellbeing of humanity through relevant interventions.
We are in all states of the Federation covering the 6 geo-political zones of the country and the Federal Capital Territory. As Lady Pharmacists, the thrust of our mission is to make positive impact in the society, beyond the Pharmaceutical sphere.

We have embarked on several projects over the years in areas with the potential to support societal growth and wellbeing. These include: –

(i) The fight against Drug and Substance abuse – We are highly involved in public enlightenment campaigns in schools and are working to establish Drug-free clubs in secondary schools across the country.

(ii) Education support for the Girl Child – We have instituted an Education fund targeted for daughters of indigent widows in the six geopolitical zones.

(iii) Project 91 – We are focused on value addition to medicinal plants for food, medicine and economic benefits showcasing the potential of our local plants.

(iv) Mentoring of young ones and reward for professional excellence by celebrating best graduating students across Faculties of Pharmacy in the Country

(v) Partnerships with offices of the First Ladies, professional women groups and other stakeholders on activities that impact humanity.

The National Secretariat is currently been hosted in Benue State along with members of the Benue State Chapter paid a visit to the mother of the Tiv nation, HRM Prof. Felicia Ayatse to appreciate the efforts she is making in the area of women and girl child upliftment.
In addition The Association intimated HRM of the activities and requested areas of partnership with Her Majesty so that efforts can be strengthened in reaching women and children with the right messages to promote their health and wellness.
