
As part of the International Day of the Girl Child celebration, the ALP Bayelsa State undertook a commemorative visit to St. Mattias Secondary School, Amarata. The visit included the presentation of a gift award to the Best Debater in recognition of academic excellence, as well as the donation of a support token to the School Principal on behalf of ALP Bayelsa State, in support of girl child education and empowerment.
In commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Day observed annually on October 19, ALPs Bayelsa State organized a public awareness campaign, engaging community members and advocating for cancer prevention and early screening. The team actively sensitized the public, reinforcing the message that fighting breast cancer requires collective effort and sustained community education.
The ALPs Bayelsa State Executive Committee paid an official courtesy visit to the Bayelsa State Branch of the National Council of Women Society (NCWS). The visit was aimed at fostering and strengthening institutional collaboration between both organizations in support of shared developmental and community engagement objectives.
A community health outreach was conducted for market women at Okaka Market, focusing on health education, preventive care, and improved health awareness.
As part of the empowerment initiative, selected women also received financial support to strengthen their small-scale businesses and livelihoods.
